Welcome to Milan! Upon our arrival, we will head to Urban Hive Milano Hotel. After check-in and some relaxation time, get ready for an unforgettable introduction to Milan’s history and charm with a guided walking tour of the Navigli district.

Our 2 hour walking tour begins in Piazza Sant’Eustorgio, in front of the basilica that was founded in the early Christian era. Our walk will take us to the Darsena, site of an ancient inner harbor built during the Spanish era and used for regional trade until the 1970s.

During the tour we’ll learn about the history of the canal from the 12th century, and how Leonardo da Vinci later improved the system of locks. Hear about the tradition of ancient trades and the people who lived along the waterways.

Cross the Triumph Bridge and walk along the Naviglio Pavese, passing picturesque alleys as we continue to the Naviglio Grande, Milan’s main canal. After reaching the canal we’ll walk with our guide until we come to Vicolo dei Lavandai, a corner that has been kept historically intact.

After the tour we may want to stay to enjoy an aperitivo at one of the bars lining the banks of the canals, or enjoy a meal at a traditional Milanese trattoria

We will have free time in the evening to enjoy the city.

Activities

Today we will enjoy a day trip to Lake Como and Lugano. Leave Milan on an air-conditioned coach and in just one hour we will in Como. Visit the historic center and enjoy some free time to get to know the town and shop in the many local boutiques.

The tour continues with a 1-hour cruise on the lake. Admire the lakeside villas and keep an eye out for Villa d’Este at Cernobbio, a luxurious hotel set in tropical gardens. The mild Mediterranean climate ensures an abundance of exotic and rare plants thriving all year round. Back to Como, join a panoramic coach ride on the side of Lake Como, and admire the lakeside villas and the breathtaking scenery before crossing the Swiss border and arriving in Lugano.

On arrival, we will have free time for lunch and get to know the most elegant and popular spots of the city: Via Nassa, formerly the place where the women of the city used to weave the nets for the fishermen and now a sophisticated shopping street, and at the shoreside see Casinò Lugano. Overnight in Milan.

We will have free time in the evening to enjoy the city.

Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel followed by a visit to the splendid Duomo Cathedral, a striking example of Gothic art and the largest church in Italy. Try to count the statue crammed onto its roof and facade, there are more than 3.200 of them, before following your guide on the visit to the interior. Exit the Duomo and walk inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II shopping gallery to have a look or do some shopping on your own.

Discover the famous Last Supper of Leonardo Da Vinci. With our Skip-the-Line ticket, we guarantee our access and our full 15 minutes with the fresco. Depicting the scene in which Jesus declares that one of the Apostles will betray him, the painting boasts an innovative approach: the portrayal of the disciples shows the person’s reactions, making the painting a profound study of a variety of diverse human emotions. Admire the medieval Sforza Castle, an impressive medieval castle and fortress, one of the most impressive urban castles in Europe. It was once a residence for the ruling family of Milan and now hosts several of the city’s museums and art collections.
