Selection Criteria
We will consider all backgrounds and all work experience. We believe that the perfect Trip Host doesn't have to fit a cookie-cuter description. However, we do look for key characteristics that we know will result in a successful experience for our guests. With that said, here are some things we look for in the candidate.

Personable and Friendly:
A good host is approachable, warm, and engaging, making guests feel welcome and comfortable from the start.
Knowledgeable:
They possess in-depth knowledge about the the trip itinerary from beginning to end. Although tour guides will have in-depth knowledge about the specific tours, Trip Hosts will have a general understanding about the destination including history, culture, local attractions, and hidden gems. They can provide interesting information and answer questions confidently to the best of their ability.
Organized:
They plan and manage the trip itinerary effectively, ensuring that all activities are well-coordinated and run smoothly. This includes handling reservations, transportation, and time management.
Flexible and Adaptable:
A good host can adapt to unexpected changes or challenges, such as weather changes, delays, or guest preferences. They remain calm and find alternative solutions quickly.
Communicative:
Clear and timely communication with guests is crucial. A good host provides essential information before and during the trip, and ensures guests are informed about the schedule and any changes.
Attentive and Observant:
They pay close attention to the needs and preferences of their guests, anticipating needs and providing personalized experiences. They notice if someone is uncomfortable or needs assistance and act promptly.
