Hello

I'm a solo traveler residing in Montana.  I am an oncology nurse excited to tackly my bucketlist. including skydiving!

Interview with Cindy Frank

1. Where are you originally from?
    Montana
2. What is special about the place you grew up?
    It’s called Big Sky Country for a reason!
3. Are you usually early or late?
    If you are not 15 minutes early, you are late.
4. How often do you people watch?
    All the time! Airports are the best!
5. What’s your favorite genre of book or movie?
     Psychological Thriller
     Most recently, books on the Holocaust
6. What are you most likely to become famous for?
     Being a smart ass!
7. What is one thing on your bucket list?
     Skydiving
8. What popular TV show or movie do you refuse to watch?
     Tiger King
9. Where would you spend all your time if you could?
     Traveling
10. What is the most annoying habit that other people have?
     People chewing with their mouth open!!
11. Why did you decide to do the work you are doing now?
    I applied for nursing school and radiology tech school at the same time, and I told myself that I would pick the      one I got accepted into first. I was accepted into nursing school first and so I am an RN.
12. What is the most annoying question that people ask you regularly?
    Is that your real hair color?
13. What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
    Lung Cancer
14. What makes a good life?
    Friends, family & pets
15. Who inspires you to be better?
    My mom!!
16. What fact are you resigned to?
    There are lots of stupid people in this world!
17. What irrational fear do you have?
    Fear of heights.
18. What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned?
    Cancer doesn’t care what age you are.
19. What is one or two of your favorite smells?
    Rain!
20. What do you like most about your family?
    That we are all still close. Aunts, uncles, cousins, 2nd cousins, etc. still hang out.
21. What were some of the turning points in your life?
    Day I became an oncology nurse.
    My own cancer diagnosis.
22. Among your friends or family, what are you famous for?
    Being a natural red head!
23. What keeps you up at night?
    Worrying about family, friends, and patients.
24. What's your favorite type of music, and do you have a go-to artist or band?
    Country music.
    George Strait is my favorite artist.
25. What's your favorite way to spend a lazy weekend?
    Reading
26. What's your favorite thing about your job or career?
    The patients!
27. What's the most spontaneous thing you've ever done?
    Taking this solo trip!!
28. Do you have any "guilty pleasure" TV shows or movies?
    Reality TV
29. Are you a dog person or a cat person?
    Both, but prefer cats.
30. If you came with a disclaimer, what would it say?
    Don’t ask a stupid question unless you expect a stupid answer!
31. Do you have a catchphrase you say all the time? What is it?
    If you can’t have a little fun, what’s the point?
32. Is your current profession what you wanted to be when you grew up?
    No, I wanted to be a teacher.
33. What is something that you think everyone should try at least once in their lifetime?
    Travel solo – this is my first solo trip! Stay tuned!
34. What makes you feel old?
    Watching my youngest sister (8 years younger) turning 45 this year (I will be 53 in July)
    Seeing all the young new nurses and doctors at work
35. Who was the best motivational speaker that you have ever heard?
    I was at an oncology nursing conference and the speakers were a husband and wife who survived the Boston          Marathon bombing. They were both in the direct path of one of the bombs.
36. Do you have any tattoos? If yes, what do they mean?
    I have 11 tattoos and I got most of them on my cancerversaries! Two on my 5 year cancerversary, 2 on my 10 y.      year cancerversary, 2 on my 15 year cancerversary, 3 on my 16 year cancerversary,  1 when I lived in Hawaii just        because, and 1 during a low time in my life.
37. Do you think birth order affects personality? Why or why not?
    Yes! My middle sister totally has middle child syndrome! LOL
38. Have you ever had or thrown a surprise party? What was it like?
    The day I finished radiation, my coworkers surprised me with a party and invited friends and family who didn’t work with me! It was great!
